With the blessings of Lord Krishna and our Poojya Gurudev, His Holiness Swami Chinmayanandaji Maharaj, we are organizing a Mega Cultural Dance Programme -“Sree Krishnakathamritham” on 5th February 2012 from 6.30 pm at Sree Vadakkumnatha Kshetra Maidhanam at Thrissur.
Educational institutions run by Chinmaya Mission are bound to be different because we make an effort to combine academic excellence with the inner unfoldment of the student’s personalities by having value based programmes.
The programme is initiated to enshrine the Chinmaya Vision Programme which is built on the principles of :-
I. Integrated development of the child
II. Hindu culture
III. Patriotism
IV. Universal outlook
Chinmaya Mission College, Thrissur was started on 12th August 1975 at Sakthan Thampuran Palace, Thrissur. Now the college is situated at Kolazhy, just 6 Kms from Thrissur town. Around 2600 students are undergoing various courses from Plus One to MBA, MCA.
“Sreekrishna Kathamritham”- A vision programme is initiated and organized by the Chinmaya Mission College for the physical, mental, spiritual and intellectual development along with the cultural values of the viewers in general. It imbibes the cultural values with bondage of love towards humanity.
Sreekrishna Kathamritham depicts the Life of Lord Sree Krishna from Incarnation to ‘Vaikunta Darshanam’.
A group of classical dance forms such as ‘Krishnanattam’, ‘Kathakali’, ‘Mohiniyattom’ (Kerala), ‘Bharathanatyam’ (Tamil Nadu), ‘Kuchipudi’ (Andhra Pradesh), ‘Manipuri’ (Manipur), ‘Kathak’ (Uttarpradesh), ‘Kashmeeri’ (Kashmir), ‘Gaudiyanatyam’ (West Bengal), ‘Odissi’ (Odisha), ‘Gujrathi’ (Gujarat), ‘Sattiya’ (Assam), ‘Garbha’(Rajasthan) will be staged, by 130 students of our college based on the story of Lord Sreekrishna.
Along with Sreekrishna Kathamritham, ‘Radhamadhavam’, ‘Geetopadesham’ and ‘Ananta Sayanam’ will also be staged.
